Inter-Regional Finals 2025

224 teams competed in the Inter-Regional Finals at Weston-super-Mare on 13 and 14 September with Michael Wheatley and Richard Brickles playing as part of the Devon team.

Michael was part of Devon C1 which finished 2nd out of 36 teams in Challenge 2 and 8th overall in the whole event. They played twelve matches, winning an amazing eleven, an achievement only equalled by seven other teams.

Their best match was on Sunday morning against the so far undefeated East Midlands 2. Devon were leading 10:0 when the fight back began, with some outstanding play from both teams. At 12:12, and with his final boule, Michael took the match with a perfect shot to knock the opposition out, leaving his boule in its place.

Richard’s team won two of their matches and both of our club members were honoured to be playing for the Devon region.
