Teams from Honiton, Ottery St Mary and Weston Super Mare took part in the inaugural Invitational Triples Competition for the Webbers Shield on Sunday 13 October 2024.   The competition had been postponed due to rain and Weston were short of two players on the day so Rachel Fenwick and Marion Jones were seconded to their team.

In the morning each team played a triples game against the other three teams.  After lunch at the Bowling Club an individual pointing competition took place - aiming at a circle at increasing distances.

Playing triples were Barry Ede, Alison Newbery and Rodney Dewey and the pointing team was Jo Beer, Jenny Summerside and Ian Kingsley

Final Results:     1st  Honiton (94 points)      2nd  Ottery (87 points)      3rd   Weston (86 points)      4th   Wellington (83 points)

Rachel presented the shield to the winners and Caroline Swan of Webbers presented medals to the runners up and wooden spoons to Wellington.
